Change in Range is a student run youth organization which has been working towards social and environmental causes since the beginning of 2020. It is currently working on projects like Zero Waste Miranda House in collaboration with MH Vatavaran, the environment society of Miranda House, Zero Waste DU (a pan university project with several Eco-clubs and NSS units on board), and several others volunteering and research projects on waste management and other issues in the National Capital.

It has opened its registration forms for students across the national capital to join the organization in various capacities and contribute their bit towards the causes the organization is working for.

Work profiles in the organization include, content writing, research, graphic handling️, website development,️ PR and sponsorship coordination etc. While working with the organization, you might also have the opportunity to-

Registrations are open to all school and college students of institutions and Colleges based in Delhi. The duration of the internship is 3 months and the work starts from February 2021. The deadline to fill the registration form for membership has been extended to January 10th, 2021 due to overwhelming number of queries regarding the method of selection.

The registration form is your application for membership in the organization. On the basis of your answers to questions asked in the form, you may/may not be taken into various functional wings of the organization. However, we welcome everyone to a space to learn and grow and you can still be a member without having to work for the organization! The criterion for certificate from the organization then, would be your active participation and engagement in our various endeavors.

Our organization also has some core posts/vacancies and is looking for worthy and capable individuals to manage the same. However, 3 months internship is a compulsory condition for obtaining any permanent post in the organization and the selection would be purely performance based. One can also be a representative of their college in our organization and contribute valuably in the cause of sustainability not only in college but their environment in general!

Here are some questions we are frequently asked that might help you!

How do we join CIR?

- You just have to fill up a registration form! The deadline is now extended to January 10th! You can also find it in the bios of our social media pages.

How much time do we have to devote?

- It will depend on how you choose to be associated with us and what work you wish to do. However, as all of us are full time students, we are very accommodative of your other commitments and engagements as much as we are aware of them. We expect you to communicate your other engagements and personal issues with us and we always try to make sure no one is overburdened. The assignments of the organization would be usually task based and there would no hour based evaluation of your contribution to the organization. At the end of the day, the goal is to make value investment in the environment around us, while growing and nurturing ourselves.

Will we get a certificate?

- Yes, you will definitely get a certificate from Change in Range if you stay connected with us throughout the promised duration. There are different certificates for members, freelancers, interns and post holders in the organization. In case you are a student of Miranda House and contribute to our projects, you stand a chance to get a certificate from MH Vatavaran, the environment society of Miranda House too!

Will there be an interview for joining Change in Range?

- You can join us as volunteers and freelance associates by just filling up a registration form. However, interviews might be conducted for select individuals if they are considered for holding important responsibilities.

Volunteers too, can be considered for interviews at a later stage for being promoted to core posts on the basis of their work and dedication to the cause.

Is CIR a society of Miranda House?

- In Miranda House (One of the colleges of Delhi University), we work as a part of the environment society - MH Vatavaran. But Change in Range is not limited to Miranda House. We have projects across colleges and encompassing the whole of Delhi University. CIR is also geared up to grow and expand its network to students, adults and working professionals from diverse regions in future.

Can anybody join CIR regardless s/he studies in DU or even Delhi?

- Yes, since we don't restrict ourselves to a particular college, university or city. However, positions in the organization can only be offered to students studying in schools and colleges which are Delhi based!
