Covid Crisis indeed has exacerbated the issue of waste, but were we doing any better before, for sustainable cities and communities? The global waste crisis has become an issue of concern worldwide in an age of climate change. The lack of solid waste management both by developed and developing nations is of the major reasons behind the increase of global waste at an alarming rate. A new contributor to this worsening situation is the rise of WTE plants in addition to the increasing landfills and poor waste disposal and classification methods.
